Both County Londonderry teams were on the losing side during todays games.
The Juniors lost out in a seven goal score line against Swinton Town. The County goals came from stephen Tabbitt (2) and Conal Kelly.
The Premier boys went down 3-1 to Shamrock Rovers
County Londonderry 1 Shamrock Rovers 3
The host County suffered an early setback when in the 2nd minute Harkin was caught in possession and the ball over top saw the striker put Rovers 1-0 up. Much of the rest of the game was Londonderry's with numerous half chances. Friel who was superb throughout hit the post and the pressure paid off when from a long throw from Chris Rodden, Bonner flicked on and Niall Grace headed into the top corner. From a Friel corner Grace almost added a second but headed just over and it was all level at the break.
Five minutes into the second half a long straight ball was punched out by Hassan but only fell to the feet of a Rovers player to react quickest and regain the lead. McKeever did have the ball in the net for Derry but it was disallowed for offside. McGregor came close with a fantastic diving header and Boylan, Healy and Douglas all had a chances as Derry took control and pressed for an equaliser. Shamrock grabbed a flattering third when as Londonderry pushed everyone forward the counter-attack was used clinically for final score of 3-1.
